Description of form

This screen creates the details of action restrictions. Action restrictions are to prevent certain tasks from being performed if college-based policies are violated. Examples include: 1. Scheduling classes for non-standard times 2. Granting transfer credits for a course not in articulation agreement 3. Permitting a student to enroll if outstanding balance exists. Select an existing restriction type using the list-of-values button. Enter a start date for this rule and an error message (reason) to be displayed if rule is not met. Either an SQL text string can be entered to enforce a complex rule or the restriction may be tested against a specific table and column. These can be selected from the popup form and the value needed can be entered in the column_values item. In the second block select the group or groups of users which will be permitted to override this restriction.
